Cosmo Teaches Women to be Pirates!

The venerable Digg led me to this scan of a recent piece in Cosmopolitan Magazine.

As part of a money-saving feature, Cosmo advises women to ask friends to burn them mix cd’s of their music. The women can then take that cd, load the songs into iTunes and tranfer them to their iPod. Do this regularly with enough friends and, bingo, a lifetime of free music.

Of course, Cosmo fails to point out that record labels consider this sort of “sharing” to be stealing and have been actively trying to sue people who take part in this fiendish practice.

Will women plead “cosmo-defense” when the cops come knocking?
